Church dresses require some planning. Elegant dressing is necessary as the proceedings are formal. This is a revered opportunity for you to converse with God, confess and also express your gratitude.

Another facet is the accessories section. Too much of bling seems loud. The church is a place to find peace and seek blessings. Though dressing well is important to respect all occasions and the best way to feel good, over doing any kind of fashion statement will not work well. Use a simple clutch purse, simple stud earrings and elegant footwear. Sling bags are fine if they are not distractive.
Conservative dressing does not mean out of fashion clothing. Look at the styles in skirts and patterns. Choose long printed dresses for summer spring times and use relaxed footwear. One could always carry other clothing in a bag in the car for the party thereafter. If one has an off shoulder of tank top then a shrug or a coat would be the best way to grace the outfit and fit into church wear.
Vintage style is lace and might not suit all of us. The elderly have a careful collection of vintage items and silks are good for inners or camisole tops. Go for browns, rust, beige and also cream for the Sunday mass. Use minimum make up concealer and not too bright a lipstick. Most times the natural look with lip balm does suit day times.
